Have you ever wondered how some people become successful and they keep riding the stairs of success?
They use a technique called Autosuggestions. Autosuggestions (or Affirmations) are suggestions or thoughts we keep giving ourselves throughout the day.

These can be negative or positive.

Example of negative autosuggestions
I am tired.
I have a bad memory.
I cant remember names.
I am unlucky.
Why do bad things always happen to me ?

Example Of positive autosuggestions
I am happy.
Life is good !!
Good Things always happen to me.
I am so lucky !!
I am the best in whatever I do.

When we give ourselves an autosuggestion (either positive or negative), our subconscious mind starts believing it, and it makes our thought a reality. Now, you know this wonderful power, don’t you think you can use it your advantage by giving yourself positive autosuggestions ?

So, how do you do that ??? Follow P P 21 Success Rule

First P means : Present Tense
Your autosuggestions should be in present tense.

Example. If you want to be a good public speaker, then instead of saying – I will be a good speaker, say: I am a fantastic speaker and am improving day by day.

Second P means : Positive Phrasing
Do not phrase your autosuggestions in a negative way.

Example. If you want to be rich, then don’t say to yourself – I will not remain poor anymore.
Instead, say – I am becoming richer with each passing day. Or I am becoming better in my business with each passing day.

This small exercise will help you understand this more clearly.
Now, whatever I will say, try to imagine that.

Do not, Do not think about red colored monkeys.
Do not imagine red colored monkeys fighting with each other.
Do not imagine a red colored monkey hitting a blue colored monkey.

I bet you saw red colored monkeys, That’s the way our brain functions. So, always phrase your autosuggestions in a positive way.

21 means : If you give yourself positive autosuggestions repeatedly for 21 days, your subconscious mind will make it as true and you would be able to achieve all that you ever wanted to achieve in your life. The important aspect is - that you should tell yourself positive autosuggestions repeatedly. & you will start noticing the difference in your behavior within a week.

Now, it’s up to you to have faith in yourself and start believing positive.
Because
If you think, you can do it.

Even the Bible says:

If you have faith, everything shall be possible to you.

help and support fellow blogger's goal

I am Attempting a Personal Goal of Reaching 1,000 Subscribers in 100 Days

Starting from 7th October onwards, I will be attempting a personal goal of hitting an amazing 1,000 subscribers in 100 days which means that I must hit this target by January 15, 2009. It is almost getting 10 subscribers every day. Quite challenging !!

I feel that goals are very important as they give us the energy and the power to guide us to the path of success. I feel that everything is possible for the person who is focused on his goal and works towards achieving it.

My current subscriber count is around 45 as of October 6, which means that I would need to have 955 readers subscribing to my blog in only 100 days to go.

In order for me to realize my goal, As a friend, I request you to help me out by Subscribing to my RSS Feed or FREE E-mail Subscription.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step !!

I hope you will help me out in taking these few important steps....

Thanks a lot and I hope I will be able to reach my goal !

Risks in Life

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.

To reach out for another is to risk http://www.blogger.com/posts.g?blogID=2863562872623524979involvement.
To expose feelings, is to risk exposing your true self.

To place your ideas, your dreams, before a crowd is
to risk their loss.

To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.

To hope is to risk despair.
To try is to risk failure.

Mouse Trapper Life Risk
But risks must be taken, because the greatest
hazard in life is to risk nothing.

The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has
nothing and is nothing.

They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they
can not learn, feel, change, grow, love or live.

Chained by their attitudes, they are slaves.
They have forfeited their freedom.
Only a person who risks is free.

A Half Filled Glass or A Half Empty One ??
If there is a glass which is half filled with water, one person looks at it as "A half empty glass" while other looks at it as "Half full glass".

The people who look at the half filled glass enjoy life and feel cheerful. You can always see a cute smile on their face.
While those who look at the half vacant glass always keep cribbing about life. You must have observed people saying :

  • My life sucks
  • I am not happy with my life
  • Why do bad things always happen to me
  • Life is unfair to me
Or, you might find them giving excuses for one thing or another. These are the people who do not fix the problem but try to fix the blame on one thing or the other.
  • I do not have a good memory.
  • I am poor because I do not have a good education background.
  • I cant do it, I don't think I have enough courage for that.
  • I am not rich because of my destiny.
The point is, looking at the negative side of things don't lead them anywhere, In fact they lose opportunities by looking at the negative side.

Here is how one of my friend lost an opportunity because of her negative attitude :

Recently, I had attended a seminar on Public Speaking in Delhi in India. The speaker was Winner of 1990, Toastmasters World Champion in Public Speaking & Coach of 7 World Champions of Public Speaking.

The timings for the seminar were 7 P.M to 9 P.M. One of my friends was supposed to arrive at the seminar. Her plan was to first reach her home(from office) and then come to the seminar. But she reached her home from office at 7:30 P.m, The seminar hall was just 10 minutes drive from her home.

She thought - "Oh, its already 7:30, the seminar is almost half over, there would not be any use going to the seminar", so she did not go to the seminar.

Another friend of mine also got late to the seminar because he had some last minute work at the office. He reached at the seminar at 8 P.M. He still attended 50% of the seminar and benefited from it.

I had a talk with him regarding this, he said : "Something is better than nothing"
And after the seminar, he applied some of the learning's to his public speeches and won several Best Speaker awards at the Toastmasters meetings.

Its all about the attitude. The situation was same for both of them, one of them looked at the positive side, another cribbed about the negative side.

Which side will you prefer to 'look at' in your life ??
